High Blood Sugar (Hyperglycemia)
High blood sugar, or hyperglycaemia, is a term that describes higher than normal concentration of blood glucose. Elevated blood glucose levels in adulthood are the hallmark of diabetes type II. Detecting early fluctuation of glucose levels may prevent or delay the development of diabetes type II. Common causes of elevated blood glucose include genetic predisposition, obesity and lifestyle. Risk factors include an unhealthy diet and sedentary lifestyle.
