Obesity
Obesity is defined as a higher body mass due to fat accumulation. Obese individuals are more prone to develop chronic diseases. Both conditions are implicated in diseases like cancers, arthiritis, type 2 diabetes, and stroke. Body Mass Index (BMI), skin fold measurement, and waist circumference are used to determine the degree of obesity. Obesity risk factors include genetic predispositions, unhealthy diet and eating habits, pregnancy, etc.
